The Town of Morristown, located thirty miles west of New York City in the heart of Morris County, is one of the most historically significant locations in New Jersey. Not only did Morristown play a prominent role in the Revolutionary War, George Washington slept here twice. The town housed more millionaires than any other city during the Gilded Age and, among other things, was the birthplace of the telegraph, the steamship engine and the modern-day version of Santa Claus.
